Job Shadowing

Erasmus+ Job Shadowing for KA121 Schools

For schools with Erasmus Accreditation (KA121), the program is designed to make international exchange a standard part of professional life. While structured courses offer excellent theoretical training, Job Shadowing provides a unique, immersive alternative with the chance to see European educational "best practices" in action within a real, functioning school environment.

Job shadowing is an observational learning activity where our staff members spend time at a partner school or organisation abroad to follow the daily work of their peers. Unlike a course with a set curriculum, job shadowing is self directed and contextual. It’s about sitting in the classroom, attending departmental meetings, and engaging in professional dialogue to understand how and why things work in another country.

Job shadowing is more than just professional development; it’s a gateway to building long-term European partnerships and fundamentally improving the quality of teaching and learning in our school.
