Soccer has been an integral part of Rice College for many years. A great source of pride for the school has been that not only have players excelled on the pitch, they have also achieved academic excellence off it. We have enjoyed many successes, winning Connacht Cups at each age group. We have also had our students represented on Irish Schools and International teams. We also have a first year Futsal team who compete in the FAI Futsal tournament. In 2019 our Futsal team won the All Ireland Futsal Final held in Waterford IT. We are immensely proud of our many achievements. Soccer provides an avenue of exercise, self-confidence and valuable teacher-pupil relationships.
